Administrative clerks and administrative assistants are not the same things (secretaries). The Lifting Supervisor should be notified of any malfunctioning lifting equipment. Rigger or signalman has to make sure the load is appropriately rigged and they have to undertake proper crane hand signals.
Lifting Supervisor
Lifting supervisors are assigned to tower or mobile cranes on the job site. They must complete a recognised training provider’s Lifting Supervisors Safety Course. They must also have at least one year of relevant experience in lifting operations. All lifting actions must be coordinated and supervised by the Lifting Plan. Before beginning any lifting operation, all members of the lifting team should be briefed on the Lifting Plan, risk management measures and safe lifting procedures. Only registered crane operators, appointed riggers and assigned signalmen are permitted to engage in any lifting operation using mobile and tower cranes. Ensuring that the ground conditions are safe for mobile cranes to undertake any lifting operations is a part of the lifting supervisor’s job profile. They should be present at all times when lifting is being done.
Construction Worker
A construction worker is a member of a construction crew who performs a variety of duties on construction sites, many of which include physical labour. The word “construction worker” can apply to a variety of professions in the business, although it most commonly refers to someone who does a variety of conventional construction activities during a project. Construction work entails a wide range of jobs and as a result, many different talents are required. There are a variety of responsibilities in construction and not all of them are limited to working on a building site.
Ad-Hoc Worker
Ad-hoc work and worker permits activities to be completed when they are requested without going through a formal approval process. This is a straightforward approach, but it lacks administration and responsibility. This may be appropriate for continuing work, such as application maintenance for long-term clients or working under the supervision of a client manager. Ad-hoc workers are not generally used for project work in which the client expects to manage project parameters like time, scope, quality and cost.
